Alex Bennet is co-founder of the Mountain Quest Institute (MQI), a research and retreat center nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia dedicated to helping individuals achieve personal and professional growth and organizations create and sustain high performance in a rapidly changing, uncertain, and increasingly complex world.  MQI is scientific, humanistic and spiritual and finds no contradiction in this combination.  See www.mountainquestinstitute.com  Dr. Alex Bennet publishes extensively and is co-author with her partner Dr. David Bennet of the seminal work, Organizational Survival in the New World: The Intelligent Complex Adaptive System (Elsevier, 2004), a new theory of the firm based on research in complexity and neuroscience, and, more recently, Knowledge Mobilization in the Social Sciences and Humanities: Moving from Research to Action (MQIPress, 2007).  She is affiliated with several Universities in the US, is a Professor at Bangkok University, and is part of the international “KM Dream Team” launching BU’s new Ph.D. program in Knowledge and Innovation Management.   Dr. Bennet served as the Chief Knowledge Officer for the U.S. Department of the Navy (DON), was co-chair of the Federal KM Working Group, and is the recipient of the Distinguished Public Service Award, the highest U.S. government public service award given to a civilian.  She may be contacted at alex@mountainquestinstitute.com
